First off his campaign was finance through donations ENTIRELY. Not tax funds. So NO Taxpayer money went to anything you refer too.

Second, he recieved no Secret Service protection until after the primaries.

He wrote his books, and earned that money. And financed his campaign without taxpayer money.

Finally, he did not get paid for the entire three years he isn't serving, the new Senator will be getting that paycheck. Nothing in your statement is true, so yes sweety, it is a rant.
Obama's books were published by for-profit publishing companies, not by the government, not at taxpayers' expense. They are not distributed at taxpayers' expense; they are sold.



Any money he made off them was made fairly. No one is forced to buy the books.



There's nothing wrong with using your own words, even from mentioning they're from a book you wrote. If he does that too often, it would be annoying, like he's using his political podium to plug his books. And the issue isn't about CEO's being paid too much when they are successful, its about them still earning those outrageous salaries AFTER the taxpayer bailed them out. I simply do not think its at all prudent to pay them millions when they failed at their job...its that simple and I hope, one day, you can take your head out of Limbaugh's azz and figure that out.

I don't have a clue, but I do know that anytime someone called him on something he wrote, he was always quick to deny it. Can you imagine what kind of fool would buy his books, read them, and then turn completely stupid and actually vote for him? Here's your sign!
I'm from Illinois and have no problem with Obama writing books, quoting them or promoting them. Actually, I'm happy that after 8 years we finally have a president that can not only read a book, but write one, too!
