What happens if Obama or McCain die after accepting the nomination, but before winning the election?

It appears that Obama and McCain are the candidates. What would happen if one of them were to die now, before the general election? Who would replace them? What happens if Obama or McCain die after accepting the nomination, but before winning the election?
Ultimately Ehud Olmert or Shaul Mofaz rule the Americans as they are the real bosses of the United States of America.

Infact, the rulers of USA for 60-years, never ruled themselves, but by the Jews of Israel, the devils.

Undoubtedly the econmic and military powers are of USA quickly disappearing. USA alongwith Israel committing too much of crimes against humanity.

And soon they will pay the heavy prices for their arrogance, wars and murders.
I believe that the party would choose their replacementWhat happens if Obama or McCain die after accepting the nomination, but before winning the election?
If Obama did then it would be Hillary since she is a Democrat. If McCain died they would find another Republican to run.
then hopefully a better candidate will be chosen, it shouldn't be that difficult to find oneWhat happens if Obama or McCain die after accepting the nomination, but before winning the election?
Me, Dr Hook!
Clinton/Romney
McSame already conceded tonight, and he's resting now so unless he passes in the night. It would be the Republicrats fault for kicking that old man when they knew he did'nt have a chance.
I too fear for McCain's life.
Their veeps would. And they would have to pick replacements for their spots.
Hillary has not conceded so the nomination would go to her by default unless the party delegates completely chose someone like Al Gore to step in.... if that is possible....

on the Republican side there would be a selection between Huckabee and Romney....
I suppose then that the running mate would become the nominee for the party, unless the rules have changed.

BTW, when Bobby Kennedy was killed in 1968, he hadn't picked a running mate for his party's ticket, as the convention hadn't occurred yet.
Thats a good question. I believe it would be Clinton and idk who would replace the reps, but we might just find out soon because McCain is like 200 yrs old I wouldnt be surprised if he died in his sleep of natural causes tonight.
lol. Why do you ask? Do you have plans?
Funny you should ask, for I was just wondering about that myself.

Hillary would of course take over if something was to happen to Obama. I actually feel that Obama might be in danger now. If I was him I would keep well away from the Clintons from now on. That woman is not to be trusted. She is dangerous.

With regards to MacCain, I have a feeling the powers in charge would go for Bush junior for a third term. It may not be legally correct, but I'm sure there are ways around that little dilemma.
The party central committee would hold a caucus and select a new candidate. It need not be anyone who ran in the primaries nor the VP nominee. Party politics is not covered in the Constitution. In fact when that great document was written, it was with the intent that there be no political parties in the U.S.

Each party makes its own rules, and as we have seen in/re Fla. and Mi. breaks them too.
the political party will choose someone to replace them.
The leading committees of parties will decide. There will be two options. One is by choosing his VP selected by the dead nominee that in case of McCain, VP will be chosen. The second option is choosing the next candidate with highest number of delegates that in case of Obama, Hillary will be selected.
hopefully obama does die... that would be a relief
