From what I've heard, the biggest complaint is that if so many people in Illinois politics have always been corrupt, then how could he be clean? Obviously, this is coming from those who didn't vote for him in the first place. Everyone has known about Illinois politics for a long time, so if people had a problem with Obama being from Illinois, the time to object was before the election. No one did that, so this is just grumbling from those whose candidate lost the election. It is pretty clear that Obama had nothing to do with Blagojevich's wrongdoing or that of any of his predecessors.Do you think Obama handled the situation with the Governor in a good matter?
He said that he agreed that Rod should resign, not that he should be fired. Obama has not said much at all on the issue and has yet to release the contact log of him and his staff w/ Rod over the past few months. I think he has NOT addressed the issue at all, and that is OK by me. Obama IS indicated as being cooperative w/ some potential plans in the Rod tapes according to the complaint. It is only indicated that Obama would go along w/ some things, not that Obama was aware of this or any plans.
it doesn't matter which party they are just cuz obama is same party as Rod Blagojevich. that's why i think ppl should not have parties it just causes multiple monopoly... sounds weird but think about it having an idividual man stand for america then someone who is just in one party and has no experience. if there was an open spot in the senate and just cuz im democrat i get a seat just for being part of a good looking group. It should be on how smart they are that is what will make america a better place. I dislike republicans and democrats cuz they hog up hope for real change and put ppl with skeletons in their closests if we had be more opened then just saying that are next president has to be republican or democratic and be more like this man stood for america before he was even president like Ross Perot we would have a different, better america. Dont you ppl see your dividing america again that everyone is a democrat or republican it divides america to civil war just politcally and that wont change a thing. I think he has handled it horribly.
sure, he said he should resign, which is nice lip service.
However his staff appeared to have consulted with him, and his staff put out 2 statements about conversations with Obama that now they say "were a mistake".
It's not a lack of anger, it's a lack of transparency that bugs me.
No matter what Obama does he will be criticized....yes, I think he handled the situation very well.
People actually think Obama was plotting with the Governor of IL....they do not see that he has been diligently working to establish his cabinet and draft legislation for January 21, 2009.

I thought it was very telling when he said he would gather the facts and present it to the press. That sounds good to me.

i don't know if the governer actually did what he is accused of. if he did he is just stupid, how did he think that he would be able to sell a senate seat without anyone realizing it????
