The SUV is very popular. Obama wants to force GM and Chrysler to quit making them. America wants the USA to drill for more oil. America wants lower taxes. America wants a job. America wants illegal aliens gone. America wants a secure border. America wants to be protected.

How long will Democrats and Obama go in the other direction before the people say they have had enough?Obama is pushing the country away from the things Americas want?
Obama don't care what the majority Americans want- he is that arrogant! I think Obama is out to destroy America on purpose. Nobody can do all this really dumb stuff that went to Harvard unless it was on purpose. Obama is a HUGE PHONY!

The SUV has not been popular since gasoline spiked to $4 a gallon last summer. People were dumping theirs, and couldn't even get half of what they owed on their outstanding loans for them. That didn't pick up.



American doesn't want the US to be dependent on foreign oil, and American doesn't want our environment ruined.



America wants lower taxes? Sure. And Obama just cut taxes for 95% of Americans. Americans also want the budget to be paid for. Americans support the idea of the rich paying a larger share.



America wants a job, which means stopping the ugly outsourcing and the race to the bottom, and focusing on domestic initiatives that will create jobs. Obama has done that with the stimulus package.



America wants reasonable immigration policies, and a secure border. Bush did nothing about that for eight years, because corporations and businesses wanted the ultra-cheap, exploitable labor to make bigger profits at the expense of American jobs and to push American wages down while damaging the labor unions. I'm not sure how you blame Obama for the Bush policies.



America wants to be protected. That means a foreign policy that doesn't try to provoke violent reactions so we can smack them down. Obama is an improvement over Bush by leaps and bounds.



Your claims of what America wants are either overly simplistic, completely false, or Obama is improving where we are in those regards.

SUV's are popular but no one is buying them because many people can't afford them right now. So what do you want him to do? encorage them to make more SUV so they can just sit there?

You say you want lower taxes. If you want lower taxed you should be happy that he telling them not to make any more SUVs because then we are going to have to bail them out agian. That will help lower your taxes.

America been want to drill oil in this country and presidents have been ignoring that want for years, nothing new.

America been wanting illegal aliens gone nothing new. But do you know how hard and long it going to take for the goverment to get that done. They been working on that for a while now when Bush was in chair. There more illegals here than people workig to get them out so its going to be a long process.

last but not least, it is not even possible for the border to be fully secured. They could make it close as possible but it won't help at the lower taxes you want. Then you would complain about that.

The oil companies are not dilling on the majority of the sights they have now and they can do so anytime they want to.



President Obama signed the largest tax break in history but unlike in the past when tax breaks were given to the wealthy his tax breaks covered millions of Americans so the individual amounts once divided out where not that high. It was President Obama that put in his budget to make the Bush tax cuts permanent for families making under $250,000 something President Bush would not do.



The illegal alien issure and border security is the failing of both parties in congress and this President and past Presidents. That problem did not just happen this year.



We are being protected by our Department of Homeland Security, National Intelligence Department, the military and Law Enforcement as well as many others. No one can honestly say that President Obama has done anything to weaken those agencies or cut their funding.

My America wants small, solar powered cars and parents with fewer children all around the world who can fit into them, an end to the oil industry and all petroleum products, a progressive, global income, capital gains and estate tax code, a 10 hour standard workweek for the same pay as 40 hours now, a standard globalized economy with the same ratio of rich to poor and a much smaller difference between the extremes so that no one would feel a desperate need to migrate legally or illegally, an end to nationalism and patriotism and a recognition that all humans are individual members of the same species and will have to start acting from a position of mutual respect and support if we are to survive in the long term.
Obama does not really want what America wants.

Jobs are going to be tough in the next 10 years as there is too many



illegal aliens streaming into the USA and nothing is being done to



stop them~~also thanks to NAFTA and trade agreements with the



third world and China~~~we have outsourced a lot of work that could



be done in the USA
People who still want to drive SUV's are self centered people who don't care about America, the world, or ANYTHING other than what they want.



People IN THE OIL BUSINESS say we can't drill our way out of our problems.



NOBODY has been able to do much of anything to stop illegal aliens.

Most of us agree with him. And he will not take us as far in one direction as the last one did, he failed to protect us. So far we have not been attacked, so he is not doing so bad after all.
