What legislation has President Obama proposed to restrict gun owners rights?

FYI

President Obama signed a law permitting guns to be taken into national parks. He signed another allowing guns as checked baggage on Amtrak. He acted to preserve an existing law limiting the use of government information on firearms it has traced. What legislation has President Obama proposed to restrict gun owners rights?
None whatsoever. And as you pointed out, gun rights have actually expanded during this administration.

Edit: Kevin, I believe the question is in response to the latest round of crap from Palin and Beck at the NRA
None that I know of... Your point? Should we all worship him for not taking our guns?

Is that what you are saying? Pretty funny. What legislation has President Obama proposed to restrict gun owners rights?
Ha none! I'm guessing you saw that windowlicker bleating about Obama taking away guns too? What a silly little child she is, she just lies and her idiot followers believe her. It's beyond ridiculous.
None

dont you just love how the right blatantly lies and gets away with it??What legislation has President Obama proposed to restrict gun owners rights?
How many supporters of ACORN need these kinds of lattitudes or at least are use to having them anyway?
none, not one.

this is just a right wing talkie point.

in fact, the NRA won't let members carry firearms into their meetings...
Easy, None. In fact, President Obama has not proposed any legislation. You see, if you read the first two articles of the Constitution, he is unable to have anything to do with legislation. That was an easy question.
Give him time, once he forms the Obama youth, his version of the SS, and his version of the gestapo, it wont take long to disarm us all.
I think you be mistaken

but regardless,

my guns are locked in my safe
He hasn't that is just another Glenn Beck lie that has been proven to be false.
Good question... he has actually permitted a larger area to possess firearms. The thing though is that anti-Obama people will not face reality and will demonize him in everything. I don't have a problem with people disliking Obama but like any other leader he will sometimes side with the so-called opposition... that's reality. I didn't like Bush that much but he did have policies I agreed with.
Hilary signed a treaty in the UN that outlaws private ownership of firearms. Obama loves this, as he can claim the UN has made legislation problematic for 'change'..the American Republic ( the real people, not Lemmings)would explode in rage and demand impeachment.
Good. It looks like has has actually done some good on 1 issue out of 1,000. Maybe he actually doesn't have a problem with guns, but more likely, I am sure he dislikes them like almost all other liberals do, but knows that to try to restrict them is a battle that can never be won in this country. Throwing a few scraps to the conservatives...just appeasement.
Why in the world does anyone need a gun in a national park? It's not like they're going to let you shoot your food or anything. And woopee, guns in checked baggage. Hope they're doing background checks on the people who work in baggage (and I don't mean criminal, I mean citizenship).

Just thought I'd give the anti-gun people something to fear about the guy they support.

But about your question: You're smarter than this. Obama has to stack the Court first.
none that have had my dad all in tizzy. He was beside himself when Obama was elected...lol He's alittle extreme about his gun rights. I love the mail flyers that NRA send out OBAMA IS COMING FOR YOUR GUNS!!!! They get him in an uproar...lol

Sorry i had nothing intelligent to add to this question..lol
Eric Holder is his point man and one of his first acts was an attempt to limit ammunition supplies. A gun is worthless without ammo.

"Responding to two Democratic senators representing outraged private gun owners, the Department of Defense announced last night it has scrapped a new policy that would deplete the supply of ammunition by requiring destruction of fired military cartridge brass.

The policy already had taken a bite out of the nation's stressed ammunition supply, leaving arms dealers scrambling to find ammo for private gun owners.

Mark Cunningham, a legislative affairs representative with the Defense Logistics Agency, explained in an e-mail last night to the office of Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., that the Department of Defense had placed small arms cartridge cases on its list of sensitive munitions items as part of an overall effort to ensure national security is not jeopardized in the sale of any Defense property.

The small arms cases were identified as a senstive item and were held pending review of policy, he said.

"Upon review, the Defense Logistics Agency has determined the cartridge cases could be appropriately placed in a category of government property allowing for their release for sale," Cunningham wrote.

The Defense Department liaison was responding to a letter yesterday to the Defense Logistic Agency's Vice Admiral Alan S. Thompson from Tester and fellow Montana Democrat Sen. Max Baucus. The senators argued "prohibiting the sale of fired military brass would reduce the supply of ammunition 鈥?preventing individual gun owners from fully exercising their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. We urge you to address this situation promptly."

ONLY after Holder's plan became PUBLIC did he back down!
None that I know of so far. I have never claimed he tried to take our guns. As a Senator, he supported gun control but so does virtually every other Democrat. I disagree with them but I really am not worried. The day the government comes for our guns will be the day we have a revolution. There are a lot of bleeding heart liberals out there who are also gun owners. Everyone would be pissed.

Anyways, Obama has yet to do anything as president about taking away guns. I'm more worried about his economic policies as of now.
He's interested in getting re-elected.

Any serious attempt will occur after 2012, if he is re-elected.

Can you tell us what he did to restore Second amendment rights in Illinois while in the state legislature or in the Senate?

Obviously he prefers an unarmed population.
