How soon before Obama calls for a constitutional convention to get rid of our outdated constitution?

The current constitution is written to protect the people from government and has negative rights, which describe what the government can't do to you. Obama want's to replace the constitution with one based on positive rights where it outlines what the government must do for you.How soon before Obama calls for a constitutional convention to get rid of our outdated constitution?
What's worse is that they will try to do this in a much more subtle and sneaky way. Just "reinterpret" a few words and make subtle changes. They know that changing the Constitution outright or getting rid of it would be met with outcry and outrage. On another note. What is the best way to take over a country? Of course, it's to take over the minds of its children. Think about it. Obaama and policies on education.
This sounds about right.

The man is dangerous beyond belief. The young people today are idiotic and brainwashed beyond belief. There is no way the voting age should be anything under 30.

Our country is now in very great peril. Barack Hussein Obama is probably not eligible to be President, and there has been a vast coverup concerning this. He is as a trojan horse. How soon before Obama calls for a constitutional convention to get rid of our outdated constitution?
10,000 years
I find it interesting how liberals use the constitution to falsely claim there is a seperation of church and state on values and then turn around and claim the electoral college is outdated simply because the popular vote would favor democrats. How soon before Obama calls for a constitutional convention to get rid of our outdated constitution?
Outdated for you. It protects the common citizen.

Bush has been trying to rip up what he called, "just a piece of paper" for years.

Obama is a constitutional rights attorney.

You do the math.
never he does not want that, you need to get over it, at least we are not going to sell ourselves to Iraq.
Many Americans dont know the difference between the constitution, the bill of rights, and the declaration of independence. We are an ignorant nation and we will get what we deserve while we watch ameircan idol and dancing with the stars
I have never heard of anything remotely close to what you are claiming.

Are you a Conservative trying to stir up crap??

PS: your Yahoo ID name is lame.
Good thing Bush spent eight years aggressively expanding the authority of the chief executive, huh.

Good thing he set so many precedents that will allow future presidents to, in effect, write the law themselves and put themselves above it at the same time, eh?

Yeah I bet you're just thrilled now that Obama's going to inherit that. Bit of a flaw in the master plan there, genius.

But fortunately I think Obama still looks like a fundementally decent and capable man.
I suggest that you read the Constitution as it is evident from your question that you have never read it throughly. The Constitution was designed to keep government OUT of your life.

Read the Constitution and Bill of Rights, also the Declaration, as it will shead light on the purpose of the Constitution. Read the Federalist Papers as they will explain the rational behind the Constitution.

I don't know who you've been talking to but you definately need some input from other sources.

I would also dare say that should he call for such a convention there will be protests and civil disobiedience not seen within the borders of the United States since Boston in 1775.
Like that would really happen. C'mon.
Obama can keep his change. If he attempts to get rid of our "outdated" Constitution. There will be a civil war.
constitution, have you really read it and understand what it saying or you taken someone else misunderstanding of the constitution. I haven't heard anything like from him and if anyone had to said something about like you. because they have nothing good to said.

what do you think about Bush and the things that he had done while in office. also what he wanted to with our social security, that he want to man date that half of our SS be invested into the stock market. where in the constitution he have that rights to do that? if you said that is not part of the constitution, guess what. he just change it.....
William F, I think that's completely true. Obama is going to try to take away all of our rights, but in a subtle way. And just like his campaign where he woo'ed the masses, he'll do it every time for his supposed "change".
geesh.... just reading the responses.... if someone would have told you 7 years ago that the president after bush would be named barak hussein obama you all...every last one of you, would have said when hell freezes over....

so.... lets not say never!
He can't. A Constitutional Convention can only come into being by petition of the legislatures of two-thirds of the States. Go to the link below and study Article V.
Wow! You watch Fox News 24-7, don't you?

No, Obama does not want to "replace" the Constitution. He wants the government to recognize certain inalienable rights that are protected by the Bill of Rights... the same rights that Cheney and Bush have spent eight years taking a proverbial piss on.

Is it me, or do sore losers sound even more stupid than one might imagine?

Maybe he'll change the Constitution to say that hate-monger, religious, right-wing nut-cases have to move to Canada? Now that is something I can believe in!
