If Obama Signs or agrees to any treaty with out the approval of the senate violates the constitution and once he's out of office should be tryed for crimes against the United States Constitution. We all have to abide by the laws Obama no different.What would you say if Obama with out the approval of the senate signs a treaty on carbon emissions?
Hes already violating the constitution by mandating health insurance upon every single American. That in itself is grounds for impeachment
His job is to sign the treaties, it's the senate's job to ratify them for acceptance. No big whoop.What would you say if Obama with out the approval of the senate signs a treaty on carbon emissions?
If Obama signs any Treaty it is only for showmanship. International Treaties are not valid or binding unless ratified by Congress.



The question is whether or not Congress would ratify such a Treaty.



They will only do so if the voters don't threaten to throw them out of office.



Then the question becomes, are the voters smart enough to figure out how bad this Treaty is for the country and its citizens?



This remains to be seen. Having let themselves be bamboozled by Obama, does not give me much faith in American voters.
To expand on the above posters' correct statement(s) of the requirement that the Senate has to ratify any treaties, it takes 2/3 majority (67 Senators) to ratify it (which will NOT happen).What would you say if Obama with out the approval of the senate signs a treaty on carbon emissions?
